Accused: Marigowda Darshan, Asian male, 72 years of age

DETAILS:  Ptl. Hojnacki investigated shopliftings from Wegmans where the following occurred on three different days: On August 6th, August 10th, and October 6th, Marigowda Darshan shoplifted one case of beer from the store on each day. Darshan was charged with three separate counts of shoplifting and has a Court date pending in West Windsor Municipal Court.

Arrested: Edwin B. Velasquez-Dolores, White male, 19 years of age

DETAILS:  Ptl. Hoffman and Ptl. Abade were detailed to the Target store for a shoplifting involving an employee of Marketsource, a company contracted by Target to provide employees to work in the mobile/electronics department. Investigation determined that on October 10th, Edwin B. Velasquez-Dolores concealed a pair of Apple airpods into his pocket while at work. Later that same day, he under-rang a purchase of a pair of airpods to another employee for $0.00. Edwin B. Velasquez-Dolores was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at Mercer County Superior Court.

Arrested: Marco A. Corona-Aparicio, White male, 25 years of age
                Resident of North Brunswick, NJ 08902
 
OFFICER: Ptl. P. Buchanan #5109
 
DETAILS:  While on patrol, Ptl. Buchanan observed a silver Honda SUV stopped on U.S. Route 1 in the center lane at the Washington Road circle. Marco Corona-Aparicio was standing outside of the vehicle with the driver’s door open trying to push the vehicle. Ptl. Buchanan, Corona-Aparicio, and another motorist were able to push the disabled vehicle safely off of the roadway. During the ensuing investigation, Corona-Aparicio was determined to be DWI. Numerous empty bottles of beer were also found in his vehicle. He was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at West Windsor Municipal Court.

Arrested #2: Curtis L. Heads, Black male, 38 years of age

OFFICER:  Ptl. P. Buchanan #5109
 
DETAILS:  Ptl. Buchanan initiated a stop on a silver Chevrolet sedan for having malfunctioning license plate lamps and for failing to stay within its lane of travel. During the stop, Regina Sorber was determined to have a suspended license and she had two active warrants for her arrest from Hamilton. A passenger in the vehicle, Curtis Heads, was determined to be a “Wanted Person” out of Mercer County. Sorber and Heads were  processed at WWPD Headquarters. Sorber was turned over to the Hamilton Police on their warrant. Heads was transported to the Mercer County Correction Center where he was committed.

Arrested: Ljanae Y. Conway, Black female, 25 years of age

OFFICER:  Sgt. L. Brodowski #479
 
DETAILS:  Sgt. Brodowski was detailed to the Target store for a shoplifter being detained by Assets Protection. Investigation determined that Ljanae Conway selected $141.97 worth of clothing and bedding, concealed some into her purse and covered up the rest with her jacket. She paid for some other items at the checkout, but did not pay for the items she concealed or covered up. Conway was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at West Windsor Municipal Court.

Arrested: James M. Burton, White male, 30 years of age
                Resident of Hamilton, NJ 08619
 
OFFICER:  Ptl. F. Zicha #596
 
DETAILS:  Ptl. Zicha and Ptl. Erkoboni were detailed to the Home Depot for a male being detained for Theft. Investigation determined that James Burton entered the store and selected items from the hardware department which he concealed into a bag. He later took those same items to the customer service desk and used an old receipt to return the items for cash. Burton was also found to have an active warrant for his arrest from Manalapan. Burton was processed at WWPD Headquarters. He posted bail on the warrant and was released pending future Court dates in West Windsor and Manalapan.
