Deputies at Crescenta Valley Station have been on the lookout for a male who had brandished a firearm yesterday near Berkshire Place and Berkshire Avenue.  Today at about 11:00 AM, a similarly described suspect committed a battery at a fast food restaurant at the 400 block of Foothill Boulevard.

At approximately 3:40 PM, La Canada Flintridge Community Service Assistant Viteri observed a vehicle matching the description parked in the upper parking lot of Hahamonga Park, near Foothill Boulevard and Oak Grove Drive.  CSA Viteri notified Deputies of the vehicle.  Patrol units, including a Reserve Deputy responded to the location and safely detained the suspect.  In the suspect's vehicle, a handgun and narcotics were located.  Detectives from Crescenta Valley Station are investigating any link between the suspect and the recent crimes.
