Crimes Against Children Detectives are conducting an investigation at Drinkard-Batiste Family Child Care in Highland

INCIDENT: PC 273a(a) - Willful Child Endangerment PC 236 - False Imprisonment
LOCATION: Drinkard- Batiste Family Child Care - 7000 Block of Nye Drive, Highland
SUSPECT: Rosalind Marie Drinkard-Batiste, 53 year-old female, resident of Highland
VICTIM(S): Confidential - five-month-old female and one-year-old male
SUMMARY:
On Sunday, November 3, 2019, at 7:00 p.m., deputies from the Highland Police Station contacted the Crimes Against Children Detail regarding an investigation involving a one-year-old male and five-month-old female who attended an in home licensed daycare facility. It was reported the one-year-old male and five-month old female were victims of child abuse/endangerment.
On Monday, November 4, 2019, at 3:00 p.m., detectives from the Crimes Against Children Detail responded to the location and contacted the daycare facility operator, Rosalind Drinkard-Batiste. Following an extensive investigation, Drinkard-Batiste was arrested and booked for Willful Cruelty to a Child and False Imprisonment. Her bail was set at $100,000.
The investigation is ongoing and detectives believe there may be additional victims.
