Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Holbrook last night.
Hally Smith was driving 2012 Nissan Rogue northbound on Coates Avenue when her vehicle struck a pedestrian in the roadway in front of 1135 Coates Ave. at 6:14 p.m.
The pedestrian, Joseph Zuniga, 31, of Oyster Bay, was transported via Holbrook Ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Smith, 62, of Mt. Sinai, was not injured.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.
