Street Suppression Operation Conclusion

Good morning Fairfield,

During the months of September and October 2019, the Fairfield Police Department’s Investigations Bureau conducted a Street Suppression Operation. On two varied days each week, members of the Special Operations Team and Patrol worked together to suppress crime throughout the city. The enforcement efforts resulted in 269 enforcement stops, 47 arrests (16 Felony, 31 Misdemeanor), 7 firearms recovered, 41 citations, 12 vehicles towed, and 72 parole or probation searches. The success of the operation is a result on the hard work and effort all of the officers put forth.

The Special Operations Team is an investigative unit in the police department assigned to gang enforcement, narcotics enforcement, human trafficking investigations, and intelligence gathering. The unit is committed to working in partnership with the community to preserve and enhance the quality of life in our city.

In an effort to work with the community, we invite you to clue us in on crimes in the above stated areas. If you feel these crimes are occurring, reach out to the Fairfield Police Department’s Investigations Bureau, 707-428-7600. If the crime is actively occurring, call dispatch at 707-428-7300 or in the event of an emergency call 911.

Based on the number of arrests and on-going investigations, names and photographs of those arrested will not be provided. The attached photographs are of the firearms and narcotics recovered during the operation.
