To stay with the theme devised by Traffic Sgt. Bal of the request "LEAVE EARLY!" the WWPD is sharing the detour information ahead of the Alexander Road Bridge Closure at the D&R Canal. Last week, Chief Garofalo led a meeting with our Officers, WW Twp. Engineer Guzik, the NJ DOT, Mercer County DOT, and WW Division of Fire & Emergency Services. As we inch closer to the full closure, there will be periodic delays ("soft closing") along Alexander Road between Canal Pointe Boulevard and the Township line with Princeton for Utility work. Traffic Sgt. Bal reiterated our theme, "LEAVE EARLY!" as this project is just about here with November 6th just over (1) week away. In addition, we are encouraging individuals and businesses who have the ability to adjust schedules away from peak rush hours we're requesting you do so.--Lt. Lee
