Police see help from the community with Hit and Run Investigation

On 10/30/19, at about 2:20P.M., Union City Police officers responded to a hit and run accident with major injuries (Vehicle vs. Pedestrian) in the area of San Andreas Dr. and San Ardo Ct. The victim suffered major injuries to his head and leg and was subsequently transported to Eden Hospital via ambulance. This is an active investigation therefore the victim’s name is not being released at this time.

It was reported that a gray colored, possible Toyota pick-up truck hit the victim and then fled the scene toward Dyer St. Officers conducted an area check for the suspect vehicle but were unable to locate it. The suspect vehicle information was sent out to surrounding agencies, in hopes that the vehicle could be located. Unfortunately, the suspect vehicle and driver are still outstanding.

The attached photos appear to be a Toyota Tacoma, extended cab, two-wheel drive, with a black lumber rack (similar to a mid-1990 model year vehicle). The vehicle was driven by an unknown race occupant, possibly a male.

The Union City Traffic unit have taken over this investigation and are seeking assistance from anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have information related to the suspect.
