Orinda Police were advised of a scam in which a resident received a telephone call from a person posing as an Orinda Police Officer. This person was soliciting donations for a Police Fund. 

THIS IS A SCAM. The Orinda Police Department does not have anyone soliciting donations nor do we have a police fund. 

If you receive a call like this, know it is FAKE. DO NOT GIVE OR SEND THEM ANY MONEY! Please report the calls to the Orinda Police Department. Remember that the Orinda Police officers do call residents while investigating incidents, but they will not ask for money or attempt to collect any money.
