Lawrence Township News for the Upcoming Week

Municipal Offices will be closed on Tuesday, November 5th for Election Day.



Reminder:  Set your clocks back one hour on November 3rd.  It is also a good practice to change your batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors this weekend. 





Shredding Event: The Lawrence Township Public Works Department will be sponsoring a Shredding Event on November 9, 2019, between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon. at our facility on Bakers Basin Road. See flyer for more details.





 
Veterans Day: On November 11, 2019, the Lawrence Township Patriotic Committee is honoring those who served our Country. Please join us at this ceremony to honor our Veterans. See flyer for details.
 



 

2019 Flu Clinics: The Health Department will hold their third flu clinic on November 13 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm the Lawrence Township Municipal Building. Please click here for more information.




 
 
 
 




DEP Division of Fish and Wildlife Notice: As it is getting darker earlier, motorists are urged to use extra caution during deer mating season. See DEP Press Release for tips to stay safe on the roadways.






TWW - Connects Reverse 911 System: TWW - Connects is a Reverse 911 or "Robocall" system that Trenton Water Works will be using to nofiy residents about water related issues. See flyer for more details and how to register.





 
Registration for Fall and Winter Recreation Programs is Now Open!  The Lawrence Recreation Fall and Winter programs are now open for registration! Please click here to register.

Please note that leagues have maximum capacity levels and will close if the max enrollment is reached.

MCIA Recycling Guidelines: Think Beyond the Bucket! You can recycle so much more than just paper and plastic. Please take some time to go to the Mercer County website for recycling information and to see their new "Beyond the Bucket" resource guide.
 




 
Cat License Renewal Month: September was cat license renewal. If you have not  yet done so, please stop in the Clerk's Office to get a license for your pet.  Any cat over the age of 7 months old is required by law to be licensed.  Proof of current rabies certification and proof of spaying or neutering (if applicable) must be presented when a license is purchased by mail or in person. The fee is $11.00 if spayed or neutered and $14.00 if not spayed or neutered. Click here for the application. Should you have any questions, please contact the Municipal Clerk at 844-7000 during business hour of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm.






Road Work:
  • Eggert Crossing Road:  The Township will be repaving Eggert Crossing Road during the week of November 4th. Roadway milling is planned for Monday and Tuesday between the hours of 9am and 3pm. Roadway detours and / or traffic directors will be in place to advise motorists. Paving is scheduled later in the week while the schools are closed. Please plan alternate routes if possible. We appreciate your patience as we complete much needed repairs on this busy roadway.

2019 Leaf Collection Begins
All residents should be aware of the leaf collection program begins on November 4, 2019. Please click here for further details.

 
 

All commercial landscapers shall be registered annually with the
Township of Lawrence by March 31st.

 


If you have any yard waste, you may take it to the Ecological Facility on Princeton Pike between the hours of 7:30 am and 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday.  The Ecological Facility will be open on Saturdays through November.
