Deputies arrest a documented criminal street gang member for possession of loaded firearm & narcotics violation

INCIDENT: PC 25850(c)(6), Carry loaded Firearm when not registered owner, PC 25850(c), Active criminal street gang member with loaded firearm and HS 11550(e) possessing firearm while under the influence of a controlled substance
LOCATION: Poplar St./Redlands Blvd., Loma Linda
SUSPECT: Raymond Garcia, 25 years old, resident of Los Angeles
SUMMARY:
On October 28, 2019, Deputy E. Fakhoury, from the Sheriff's Central Station, conducted a traffic stop and contacted the driver, identified as Raymond Garcia. Fakhoury conducted a search of Garcia's vehicle and located a loaded semi-automatic handgun. The firearm had been altered and the serial number removed.
The firearm was located within Garcia's reach and further investigation revealed he is a documented criminal street gang member out of the Los Angeles area. Garcia was arrested for PC 25850(c) (6), Carry loaded firearm when not registered owner, PC 25850(c), Active criminal street gang member with loaded firearm, and HS 11550(e), possessing firearm while under the influence of a controlled substance. Garcia was booked into the Central Detention Center.
