The wind has definitely picked up. As you work your way around your home and through the streets, please be aware of your surroundings. There are a number of locations throughout town where power lines and trees have fallen. Be Careful!!! Treat all power lines as if they are live and energized. Contact with a live power line could be deadly.
If you see a hazardous or dangerous situation report it as soon as possible. If its an emergency call 911. If the danger has past and its not an emergency, but assistance is still needed, call the general business line 707-428-7300 and use the promptings. Please do not use 911 for general inquiries or assistance where an emergency/danger does not exist. Dispatchers are extremely busy and a non-emergency call on 911 may delay helping someone who really needs it.
With the number of lines and trees down, it will take time for crews to work through it. Also know City crews can only handle trees from City property or ones on private property that pose a life and safety risk. We’re sure the crews will be very busy today prioritizing tasks and getting the work done. If its safe to do so, thank the crews out there getting the streets cleared and trees or power lines moved.
