PG&E Announces Another Public Safety Power Shutoff, Sunnyvale Not Impacted.

Hi neighbors!

PG&E has announced another Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) for today, 10/26, at approximately 7:00 p.m., that is expected to impact more than 27,093 customers in Santa Clara County.

Our Office of Emergency Services (OES) has been monitoring the PSPS and have learned that this round will not impact any Sunnyvale residents.

Because of expected heavy winds in the forecast, there is a possibility of natural outages. As a friendly reminder, please do not call 911 to report power outages.

Although our community may not be impacted, we want to remind you that preparing for the possibility of any emergency is always important. If you were to go without power, you’ll have to make sure you have what you need.

We’d like to encourage you to take this time to begin preparedness efforts so that you’re ready for an emergency or disaster when you need to be.

To learn about training opportunities and begin preparedness efforts please visit our OES Preparedness Page at https://bit.ly/2Px5PXl.
