Hello Fairfield Community,
PG&E has confirmed they intend on initiating their Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) for our region at 4:00pm today (10/26/19). Please keep in mind the City is not the entity dictating the times or durations. We are only sending this information out in an effort to help everyone prepare accordingly. If you will be impacted, please plan for the weather event causing this shutoff to last through Monday morning. Also, be aware once the event concludes, there will be down time between the PG&E “all clear” status and when power is actually restored.
PG&E has confirmed they will be opening a Customer Resource Center (CRC) at 2700 Maxwell Way Fairfield, CA 94533. The CRC will be open Sunday, 10/27/19 from 8:00am to 8:00pm. The CRC location will offer bottled water, restrooms, electronic device charging, Wi-Fi, flashlights, batteries, cell phone chargers, coffee, tea, non-perishable snacks and air-conditioned seating for up to 100 people.
The City is monitoring the conditions and attempting to gain as accurate information as possible as it develops, so we can adjust accordingly.
