PG&E Public Safety Power Shutoff Evening Update 10/25/19

Good evening Fairfield,

We just listened in on a briefing from PG&E. If the wind event continues as predicted they plan on beginning de-energization tomorrow afternoon (10/26/19). PG&E said they will attempt to make an official determination on the Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) tomorrow morning. We will be listening in to best educate ourselves so we can plan best for the community.

Remember, go to www.pge.com to get information on the Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS). PG&E has a section on the website so customers can input their address to determine if the address is planned for a power shutoff.  PG&E also has safety and preparation tips on the same website. If you are a potentially impacted costumer it may be beneficial to look through it.

We got through the last event together, we’ll get through this one. Look out for each other, check in on your neighbors and elderly, and keep connected with us through the various options available. For City of Fairfield updates, please go to https://local.nixle.com/register/ to sign up.  You can also text your zip code to 888777.  We also encourage people to sign up for Solano County Alerts by visiting www.alertsolano.com
