Yesterday, Sheriff Victor Hill’s Tactical Patrol units were conducting a safety road check when a white Mercedes approached it.  When Deputies got the driver to roll the window down the driver provided an identification card that looked nothing like him. The drive then sped away almost striking one of the Deputies with the vehicle and proceeded to the front of the road check where he almost struck several additional Deputies. 

Deputies pursued the vehicle traveling eastbound on Garden walk Blvd, Northbound on 75 North merging onto 285 Eastbound. Once deputies emerged onto 285 Eastbound the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck another vehicle before being struck by a 18 wheeler.  Both the driver and passenger both bailed out of the vehicle. The passenger identified as Antonie Redfern was ran down and taken into custody. The driver identified as  Sharif Robinson, being out of shape, laid down in the wood before being seen by in coming Deputies. 

Found inside the vehicle was an assault rifle, hand gun, and suspected narcotics. The handgun came back stolen out of DeKalb PD.  Robinson and Redfern were both wanted out of several jurisdictions and Robinson had a federal warrant out  for him as well.

Robinson and Redfern were advised by the Sheriff to never to drive through Clayton County again.  Both of them are facing the wall at Georgia’s toughest para-military jail better known as “The Hill-ton”.
