On October 24, 2019, at around 2:50 a.m., Kern County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to an armed robbery at the 7-Eleven at 2636 River Boulevard. The suspect brandished a handgun and fled with cash and cigarettes. A Bakersfield Police Department officer stopped a vehicle believed to be related to the robbery. Deputies responded and arrested the 16-year-old suspect. They located the weapon, stolen money and cigarettes in the vehicle.
