October 8th

Warrant Arrest - Fairmount Ave. / San Pablo Ave:
At 10:49 am, an officer spotted a 58-year-old Richmond man who he knew was wanted for two misdemeanor warrants. The man was arrested and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle – 1100 block of Richmond St:
At 6:36 pm, an officer responded to a suspicious vehicle report. Upon arrival, the officer discovered the vehicle was reported stolen to the ECPD earlier in the day.

Vehicle Tampering – 10200 San Pablo Ave:
At 8:12 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect shattered the rear passenger window to the victim’s vehicle and removed a backpack.

Auto Burglary – 10200 San Pablo Ave:
At 9:00 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect shattered the rear driver side window to the victim’s vehicle and removed a soccer bag

Drunk-in-Public – 8000 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 8:12 pm, an officer reports the arrest of a 69-year-old female from Richmond. The female got into an argument with employees, and as she walked out of the business, she lost her balance and fell. The female was determined to be unable to care for herself and taken to the county jail.

Domestic Battery – 400 block of Lexington Ave:
At 1:14 am, an officer reports the arrest of a 59-year-old female from Berkeley. The female was heavily intoxicated and assaulted her boyfriend during an argument. The female was booked then taken to the county jail.

Domestic Battery – 1700 block of Arlington Blvd-
At 3:32 am, an officer reports a 33-year-old male assaulted the mother of his child after an argument. The male left the scene before officers arrived.

October 9th

Stolen Vehicle - R&R Auto, 6700 Fairmount Ave:
At 4:19 pm, an officer reported a female, later identified as a 36-year-old Oakland woman, stole a gray 1998 Cadillac DeVille from the service station. The woman was last seen east on Fairmount Ave. driving at a high rate of speed. The woman was later arrested driving the car in another jurisdiction.

Residential Burglary – 600 block of Richmond St:
At 5:45 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect entered the victim’s residence by forcing open a rear door. The suspect ransacked the house and left with property.

October 10th

Auto Burglary – Safeway, 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 7:59 am, an officer responded to the report of an auto burglary. An unidentified suspect shattered the window to a vehicle and stole a purse between 7:30 and 7:50 am.

Grand Theft – 5300 block of Potrero Avenue:
At 7:14 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect removed the catalytic converter from the victim’s truck. The theft took place between 6 am and 1 pm.

Auto Burglary – 6060 Central Ave:
At 7:26 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect shattered the rear window to the victim’s vehicle and removed a backpack. The crime occurred between 7:00 pm and 7:09 pm.

Auto Burglary – 9895 San Pablo Ave:
At 7:21 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect shattered the front passenger window to the victim’s vehicle and removed a lunch bag.

October 11th

Auto Burglary – 2600 block of Monte Vista Ave.
An unknown suspect shattered the front driver side window to the victim’s vehicle and stole $5.00 in miscellaneous change. The theft took place between 10 pm last night and this morning at 9:30 am.

Identity Theft – Sprint 3020 El Cerrito Plaza
In December of 2018, an unknown suspect opened a fraudulent account using the victim’s name and added eight phone lines to the account. The victim was notified of the fraudulent activity when he received a letter from a collection agency stating that he owed $1800.00.

Theft from Auto – 800 block of Seaview Dr.
An unknown suspect entered the victim’s vehicle by unknown means and stole miscellaneous change. The theft occurred overnight.

Grand Theft from Auto – 800 block of Liberty St.
An unknown suspect entered the victim’s vehicle by unknown means and stole miscellaneous items. The theft occurred sometime during the night.

October 12th

Theft and Recovery of a Stolen Vehicle – 200 block of Behrens St.
An unknown suspect stole the victim’s vehicle, which was parked in front of their residence last night. At approximately 12:08 pm today, an officer located the vehicle parked unoccupied in the City of Albany.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle – 300 block of Behrens St.
At approximately 8:15 am, an officer located the victim’s Honda, which was reported stolen to the Berkeley PD on October 12th.

Auto Burglary – 5600 block of Macdonald Ave.
An unknown suspect shattered the right rear window to the victim’s vehicle and stole a black suitcase. The incident occurred last night between 10:00 pm and 8:00 am this morning.

Auto Burglary – Fern St. at Gloria St.
An unknown suspect shattered the driver side windows to the victim’s vehicle and stole a fire extinguisher. The incident occurred last night between 8:00 pm and 12:00 pm today.

Auto Burglary – (IHOP parking lot) 11515 San Pablo Ave.
An unknown suspect shattered the left rear passenger window to the victim’s vehicle, accessed the trunk, and stole the victim’s carry-on luggage. The incident occurred between 11:30 am and 11:45 today.

Arrest for Possession of Stolen Property – Summit K2/Del Norte BART station
On Friday, October 11th, the victim placed his bicycle near one of the classrooms and assisted another student with their bike. A juvenile suspect hopped on the victim’s bicycle and fled westbound on Hill St.

Today, the victim saw his bicycle on sale on a website and had his friend attempt to purchase the bike. At 5:26 pm, the suspect asked to meet at the Del Norte BART for the purchase. An officer arrested a 16-year-old male juvenile from Richmond, as he was walking with the stolen bicycle. The male was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released to his grandmother.

October 13th

Theft from Vehicle – 2300 block of Mira Vista Dr.
An unknown suspect cut the catalytic converter out from underneath the victim’s vehicle. The incident occurred between Sunday, October 6th, and Saturday, October 12th, at 7:15 am.

Grand Theft – 11511 San Pablo Avenue (T-Mobile)
At 3:05 pm, three suspects entered the store and ripped nine cell phones from their displays before fleeing the store in a white Volvo.

Robbery – 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 10:23 pm, an unknown suspect entered the business and selected merchandise. The suspect then walked past all points of sale and was confronted by security at the exit. When confronted, the suspect displayed a firearm and threatened the guard. The suspect then fled to the Del Norte BART station.

October 14th:

Grand Theft: 1500 block of S. 56th St:
At 7:36 am, an officer responded to the report of a theft of a catalytic converter. An unidentified suspect stole the catalytic converter from a truck.

Grand Theft- 3090 EC Plaza:
At 3:15 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect grabbed a laptop from a patron and fled from the business.

Stolen vehicle Recovery - 000 block of Pomona Ave:
At 3:30 pm, an officer located a stolen 1999 Honda Civic.

License Plate Theft – 5600 block of El Dorado St:
At 4:37 pm, an officer responded to the report of a stolen license plate. The rear license plate from a Toyota was stolen during the previous 24 hours.

October 15th:

Battery – Contra Costa County Library (El Cerrito) 6510 Stockton Ave:
At 2:18 pm, an officer responded to the report of a battery. The librarian received complaints about a subject with body odor. The librarian notified the subject of the issue and asked her to leave and in response, slapped the librarian. The suspect, a 47-year-old transient woman, fled before police arrived on the scene.

Stolen Vehicle - 500 block of Albemarle St:
At 3:42 pm, an officer responded to the report of a stolen vehicle. An unidentified suspect stole a tan 2000 Honda Civic between 10/14/2019 at 8:00 pm and 10/15/2019 at 1:00 pm.

October 16th:

Residential Burglary – 500 block of Albemarle St:
At 11:06 am, an officer responded to the report of a residential burglary. In between 8:45 am and 9:45 am, an unidentified suspect shattered the back sliding glass door. Once inside, the suspects stole various items.

October 17th:

October 18th

Grand Theft – 1700 block of Wesley Ave:
At 9:19 am, an officer reports an unknown suspected entered the side yard to the victim’s residence and removed a bicycle. Video surveillance footage showed the theft occurred at 5:51 am.

Theft from Auto – 2600 block of Monte Vista Ave:
At 11:51 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect removed property from the victim’s unlocked vehicle sometime during the night. A neighbor located the property several houses away and notified the police.

Stolen Motor Vehicle – 10900 block of San Pablo Ave:
At 11:57 am, an officer reports the victim’s red Honda Accord was parked on the street and was stolen sometime during the evening.

Grand Theft – 3020 San Pablo Avenue:
At 1:27 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect entered the business, stole a tablet, and accessories from a display case.

Stolen Vehicle recovery – 6000 El Cerrito Plaza:
An officer located a stolen vehicle parked in front of the business with nobody inside of it. The car had been reported stolen to the Berkeley Police Department about a week earlier. The car was towed away from the scene, and the owner was notified it had been recovered.

October 19th

Robbery – 1400 block of Norvell Street:
The victim had just arrived to his house and was standing on the front porch when a suspect came up to him, pointed a firearm at him, and demanded property. The victim handed over several items, and the suspect ran away.

Burglary – 500 block of Liberty Street:
An officer went to a call of a residential burglary which occurred sometime during the past four days. An unknown suspect entered through a window and stole property from inside.

Possession of Burglary Tools – 200 block of Carmel Street:
An officer pulled a vehicle over and found the driver was on probation for burglary. A search of the vehicle revealed that the driver had burglary tools. The man was arrested and booked at the ECPD.

October 20th

Attempted theft – 600 block of Lexington Avenue:
The victim heard the sound of a saw and then their car alarm sounding. When the victim walked outside, she saw two suspects near her vehicle. One was under the car and had a saw in his hand. The suspects fled the area before they were able steal the vehicle’s catalytic converter.

Auto Burglary X2 – 500 block of Elm Street:
An officer responded to the report that two vehicles had been broken into. When they arrived, they found two cars had their windows broken, and property had been stolen.
