GTPD Community Bulletin: Red Ribbon Week & DEA Drug Take Back Day

The Center For Disease Control reported that among the 70,237 drug overdose deaths in the United States in 2017, a total of 47,600 involved opioids. Here in Gloucester Township we strive to make sure our students are educated on drug prevention by having Law Enforcement Against Drug (L.E.A.D.) Officers in our schools.

We also encourage residents who are or know of any one who is suffering from addiction whether it be drugs or alcohol to join our SAVE support group. Meetings are held the 1st and 3rd WEDNESDAY of each month at 7:00 PM Family Resource Center, 1324 Little Gloucester Rd., Blackwood, NJ.

In honor and response to the murder of DEA Agent Enrique Camarena in 1985 and his battle to fight against illegal drugs we celebrate Red Ribbon Week from October 20-26th. We ask that you join #GTPD on October 26th from 10AM-2PM as we participate in the DEA Drug Take Back Day to do our part in battling the drug epidemic in America. Stop out at our Police Headquarters located at 1261 Chews Landing Road Laurel Springs, NJ 08021 and get rid of you unused or expired medication.
