Jail K-9 Jack (Former Rescued Dog) Leaves His Post To Help G.B.I. Detect Drugs. SHERIFF VICTOR HILL
Before coming to work for the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office, K-9 Jack was a rescued dog found after someone threw him from a moving vehicle in North Georgia. An unknown person who observed this animal abuse took him to a nearby shelter. The Hiwatari Kennel later adopted Jack when they observed that he had the ability to do police work. On February 5th of this year Jack became the patrol dog for Georgia’s toughest para-military jail known as The Hill-ton”. Jack is tasked with making sure no one dares to bring drugs into Sheriff Hill’s jail. This past Friday K-9 Jack proved that the Hitwatari Kennel’s hunch about him was definitely right when he assisted the G.B.I.
When the G.B.I. requested assistance from the Sheriff’s Office for a tractor trailer suspected of containing marijuana, none of the other Sheriff’s street K-9s were available. However, K-9 Jack was on patrol at “The Hill-ton” and indicated he would not mind helping out to get change of scenery.
Jack alerted to a pallet containing over 100 pounds of marijuana in a tractor trailer successfully intercepting drug traffickers from being able to distribute it through out Clayton County.
