Lt. Derrick McGinnis of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Johnny Ray Burleson, 38, address listed as Valley Road in Marion, with assault with a deadly weapon and communicating threats.
                Deputies were called to a disturbance on Valley Road shortly after 9 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17. When they arrived, they found 26-year-old Justin Ollis, also of Valley Road, suffering from an injury to his arm.
                Further investigation showed that the two had gotten into an argument, at which time Burleson reportedly grabbed a hammer and hit Ollis in the arm with it.
