The Jekyll Island Authority proposes to amend its 2014 Master Plan to convert 12 acres of undeveloped area to developed land for the purpose of the expansion of the Jekyll Island Campground and to convert approximately 3 acres of undeveloped area to developed land for the purpose of building a Public Safety Complex. Because the land is currently described as “undeveloped” in the Official Code of Georgia, a Master Plan amendment is required for the projects to move forward.
A public hearing regarding the amendment will take place on November 7, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. at the Jekyll Island Convention Center, 75 Beachview Dr. N, Jekyll Island, GA 31527.

The Board of Directors of the Jekyll Island Authority will consider approval or rejection of the proposed amendment on December 17, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. at the Jekyll Island Convention Center, Rooms 7-8, 75 Beachview Dr. N, Jekyll Island, GA 31527.
