# 018 Chain Snatch Robbery
A victim was robbed of their necklace when a suspect snatched it off the victim in the area of Maybird/Diamond.  The suspect ran to a vehicle driven by a female and fled the scene.  Witnesses provided a license plate to responding officers and the car was identified as a white Toyota Yaris.  The vehicle was last seen in the area of Fremont/Enea shortly after the robbery.  Officers interviewed numerous witnesses and located video surveillance throughout the neighborhood. Detectives are still investigating this case.  No arrest has been made.

Day shift started out with 7 auto burglary reports:
#006 5200 block of Bamboo Ln – Unknown method of entry, loss of personal property.
#007 39500 block of Royal Palm Dr. – Unknown method of entry, loss of construction tools.
#008 4600 block of Mattos Dr. – Forced entry, loss of construction tools, and there may be video surveillance.
#009 35500 block of Ebro Ct. – Unknown method of entry, loss of electronics and personal property.
#011 35300 block of Lancero St. – Unknown method of entry, loss of electronics and personal property.
#012 4800 block of Sterling Dr. – Loss of construction tools, and the suspect vehicle was possibly a pick-up truck.
#015 5000 block of Horat Tr. – Loss of personal property.
 
#019 Battery on a Police Officer
39200 block of Paseo Padre Pkwy – Officers responded to a disturbance a shopping center.  One subject was contacted, and during the contact, the subject spit on a Police Officer.  The subject was arrested and booked into Santa Rita Jail.
 
Disturbance Call Involving Homeless – Officers responded to Pizza Guys on report of a male, believed to be homeless, was banging on the windows and attempting to enter the closed business.  The reporting party added that they have had an ongoing issue with this person.  The male was gone when officers arrived.

#005 Auto Burglary
3100 block of Warren Ave – Forced entry to a camper shell and construction tools were stolen.

#016 Auto Burglary
34100 block of Finnigan Tr. – Unknown method of entry, but the victim was confident the vehicle was locked.  The loss was personal property.

Disturbance Call Involving Homeless – a local hospital called to report a homeless woman was refusing to leave after treatment.  Officer Hernandez arrived and contacted the woman who advised that she would harm herself if FPD made her leave the hospital.  Officer Hernandez was able to talk to the woman long enough to ascertain that what she really wanted was help detoxing from illicit drugs.  Hernandez contacted Cherry Hill Detox center and transported the woman to their facility for help.

Disturbance Call Involving Homeless – Officers were dispatched to a homeless male with shopping carts sleeping on the sidewalk and blocking pedestrian traffic.  Officers arrived on scene and encouraged the male to sleep elsewhere.

Auto vs Pedestrian Collision:  Traffic officers investigated an auto vs pedestrian collision at Starbucks in Warm Springs.  Traffic Officer Gregory handled the investigation.

#003 Armed Robbery
Two suspects entered the 7-11 store located at Mowry/Farwell and pointed guns at the store clerks demanding money.  Once the robbery was complete, the two suspects exited the store on foot in an unknown direction and no vehicle was seen.  The suspects were described as two black males dressed in hoodies.  Officer Dennis was the case agent and worked on collecting video surveillance from the store and the surrounding businesses.

#008 Battery, Intoxication and Theft
Officers are dispatched to the Food Maxx Grocery Store on Fremont Blvd for what was believed to be a robbery.  It was reported that an intoxicated homeless man was stealing items and battered a person in the process.  The man fled the store and was located nearby.  The 35 year old was arrested for battery, drunk in public and petty theft.  He was transported to the Fremont Jail for booking.

Robbery Investigation
Traffic Sgt. O’Connell was assisting with traffic control at Mission/Niles Canyon when a call came in of a person brandishing a hatchet in the same area.  He quickly detained the suspect and determined that it was a robbery.  Officer Deck responded and handled the investigation.

#001 Search Warrant Service 4000 Block of Central Ave
Officer Floresca authored a search warrant for a residence in the 4000 block of Central Ave, stemming from a traffic stop where evidence of identity theft was located in the vehicle.  Several officers with the help of detectives served the search warrant at approximately 0730 a.m.  Nine people in the home were detained and additional evidence of identity theft was located in the residence. 

#003 Warrant Arrest
During the check for a subject who brandished a firearm at the CVS store located at the Hub, Sgt. Gaches attempted to stop a subject on a bike in the above area.  The subject fled and was eventually corralled at Fremont Blvd. and Country Dr. with the help of other patrol units.  The 44 year old man was found to have a felony parole warrant.  He was booked at the Santa Rita Jail after being medically cleared.

Friday, October 11, 2019
Auto Burglaries:  The Starbucks stores at Warm Springs, Irvington and Auto Mall Pkwy were all hit by auto burglaries between 7:10 - 8:15 a.m.  The suspect vehicle was descried as a black Dodge Charger with a plate similar to 7EUX934. 

#003 Drunk Driving Walgreens Mowry
Officer Haugh conducted a traffic stop in the area of Fremont Blvd. and Paseo Padre and contacted the 25 year old driver.   The man was found to be intoxicated while driving and was arrested for same.  He was booked at the Fremont Jail.

#022 Burglary and Theft of Vehicle
Homeowners on Goldenrain Avenue returned home and found a man in their bathroom.  Officers were dispatched, and a perimeter was established.Shortly after the perimeter was set, a man exited the front door and was taken into custody without issue. A key was found in his pocket belonging to one of the homeowner’s vehicles that was parked in the driveway. A neighbor’s surveillance camera captured him driving the homeowner’s vehicle before returning it approximately 30 minutes later and entering the home. He was in the home for several hours before police were notified. It is suspected he entered the residence through a rear window after removing its screen. He was not known to the family. The 20 year old man was transported to the Fremont Jail for booking.
