SPD received reports of thefts from vehicles recently. Please remove your personal property from your vehicle. These thefts are usually committed by juveniles, opportunists, and those seeking monies for addiction reasons. None of the vehicles were locked in this rash of thefts. These types of thefts are preventable by you. We are advising you to safeguard your property. Lock your vehicles and please, do not leave valuables in  plain view or unsecured. This includes wallets, purses, electronic devices (cell phones, headphones) and loose change or currency.
Be vigilant in your neighborhoods and report suspicious activities.
 If you see something; say something. We all play a role in keeping a vibrant community.
