Flood Advisory until 05:45AM

The National Weather Service in Austin San Antonio has issued a

* Small Stream Flood Advisory for... Zavala County in south central Texas...

* Until 545 AM CDT.

* At 248 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding in the advisory area. Radar estimates 2 to 3 inches of rain has fallen in some spots across northern Zavala County.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... La Pryor, Batesville and Washer.

* AFFECTED AREAS: ZAVALA, TX

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying spots.
