On December 1, 2017, a male approximately 18 to 24 years of age, was located deceased in the area of Perkins Avenue, approximately ½ mile west of Stradley Avenue in an almond orchard in McFarland. The male was possibly Hispanic, of medium build, 5’ 6” and 183 pounds. He had short black hair and a thin moustache. He was wearing a gray t-shirt, blue athletic style pants with yellow vertical lines across the outside of both legs, and two black work style boots. No birth marks or tattoos were present. All efforts to identify him have been unsuccessful.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office Coroner Section will be holding a Missing Persons Day event. We will be working to connect families with law enforcement to bring missing people back home, and to bring closure for families of the unidentified.
The Missing Persons Day event is November 9, 2019 from 10:00 a.m - 3:00 p.m. at the Larry E. Reider Center for the Kern County Superintendent of Schools on 2000 K Street, Bakersfield.
If you are the family of a missing person, please bring ID photos of missing person, two of the missing person's closely-related family members from the mother's side for collection of identification cheek swabs for DNA, as well as any X-rays, dental or medical records.
A portion of the event will be open to the public, including the Child ID Unit and booths, including NaMus.
