Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose requests the public’s help in identifying the below pictured male suspect in two bank robberies that occurred on Saturday, October 12, 2019. Additional photos have been added.

In both incidents, the suspect showed the teller a note demanding money. The first incident occurred at 1:45 p.m. at Citi Bank, 721 Broad Street, where no money was taken. The second incident occurred less than 10 minutes later at Chase Bank, 744 Broad Street, where $1,000.00 was taken.

The suspect is described as white, 5’2” to 5’6” tall and 130-150 lbs. He has a brown/orange beard and mustache and was wearing a gray hooded sweater, gray jeans, black and white flannel-patterned scarf, and black and white sneakers.

While police are actively searching for this suspect, we seek the public’s assistance in quickly identifying him as part of this investigation.
