The flashing school zone sign on W 7th and Elm is malfunctioning. This malfunction includes the flashing lights not working at the designated times. The City of Idalou is working with the company that produced the flashing school zone to fix this problem. Until the flashing school zone is fixed a new sign noting the time of the school zone will be posted. School zone will be enforced. We ask everyone to observe the school zone and provide a safe environment for the students.
