**Route 46 (Main St) Road Work To Begin Monday (10/14/19)** The Route 46 road work project is tentatively scheduled to begin on Monday, Oct. 14, 2019 and last two weeks. This work will consist of installing curbing and ADA curb ramps. Most of the work will be at the intersections (excluding the Route 46 & Grand Ave intersection and the five corners intersection). The work will begin at the intersection of Route 46 and Valentine St and continue east on Route 46 to Water St. When the eastbound side is complete the work will then start on the westbound side. The work hours will be Monday - Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (weather permitting). Motorists can expect lane shifts along Route 46 and full closures off side streets. People needing to get to residences or businesses will be allowed access. There will be no parking on Main St in the area of the road work. Anyone parked in the NO PARKING areas will be ticketed and towed. Motorists can expect traffic delays and we encourage motorists to plan an alternate route. The paving of Route 46 is tentatively scheduled for 2020. Once we get more updates on the project, we'll post the information.
