FREE EVENT REMINDER: City of Simi Valley's 50th Year of Service Celebration Event Tomorrow!

On Saturday, October 12, please join the City of Simi Valley for a Community Open House from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to celebrate the City’s 50 Years of Service. Residents will enjoy a ceremony with presentations by elected officials, tours of the Police Department, celebratory cake, Touch-A-Truck event, panel presentation by founding and long-time community members, Mural Scavenger Hunt presented by the Simi Valley Public Library, Children’s Musician Craig Newton, and K-9 demonstrations. During the festivities, businesses that have operated in Simi Valley since 1969 will be recognized by the City Council.

Residents who lived in Simi Valley in 1969 at the time of the City’s Incorporation are invited to participate in a commemorate group photo at 9:30 a.m.

Complimentary commemorative pins and decals will be distributed until supplies are exhausted. Commemorative 50 Years of Service polo shirts will also be available for purchase for $30 dollars.

The 50 Years of Service Celebration will take place at City Hall, located at 2929 Tapo Canyon Road.
