Important Public Safety Information and Resources
We’re on day two of the power outage and we want to keep you informed. The Red Flag Warning has been extended to 5 p.m. today. Here’s some important safety information:
Need to call 911 but don’t have a working phone?
Most fire stations in Sonoma County have an emergency phone on the outside of the building that connects you with dispatch.
Traffic instructions
Please slow down, pay attention, and remember that traffic lights without power are stop signs. There’s been an increase in traffic accidents in areas without power.
Need to charge a device?
Today you can charge your electronic devices at the following locations. Check socoemergency.org for updates on locations and hours after today.
- Santa Rosa Veterans Memorial Building, 1351 Maple Ave, Santa Rosa. Open 8 a.m. to dark.
- Hanna Boys Center, 17000 Arnold Drive, Sonoma. Open 8 a.m. to dark.
- Sonoma Veterans Building, 126 1st Street West, Sonoma. Open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Community Center, 5401 Snyder Lane, Rohnert Park. Open 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Have an urgent medical need?
If you or a loved one needs non-emergency medical care, go to an Urgent Care instead of an emergency room.
Need more information or resources?
Contact 211 if you need information regarding the power shutoff, shelter, or help with food or water. You can call 211, text your zip code to 898-211, or go to 211sonoma.org. Call 911 for crimes happening now, suspicious activity, and life-threatening emergencies.
Be kind to each other
Everyone is stressed. Check on your neighbors. Treat PG&E workers with respect and don’t slow them down while they work hard to turn the power back on for you.
