ECPD Blotter September 24-29

September 24th

Brandishing – San Pablo Ave and Fairmount Ave:
At 6:13 pm, an officer reports a 51-year-old male brandished a baseball bat at the victim after refusing to buy him something. The suspect was located by officers, but the victim did not desire prosecution.

Warrant Arrest – Bates Street and Roberta Drive:
At 12:31 am, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and subsequently arrested a 47-year-old male on an outstanding warrant. The male was booked and then released with a citation.

Warrant Arrest – San Pablo Ave. and San Diego St:
At 2:41 am, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 46-year-old male for an outstanding warrant. The male was booked then taken to the county jail.

Auto Theft - EC Plaza:
At 6:14 am, an officer reports the theft of a 2011 white Toyota Yaris. The vehicle was stolen on 09/23/2019 between 8:00 pm and 10:30 pm.

Auto Burglaries - EC Plaza:
While investigating the aforementioned theft, an officer observed a total of twelve other vehicles which had been burglarized. The officer determined the burglaries occurred between midnight and 6:00 am.

Stolen Vehicle - 600 block of Liberty St:
At 8:57 am, an officer reports the theft of a Honda Civic sometime during the night.

Grand Theft – 1400 block of Navellier St:
At 1:30 pm, an officer responded to the report of a stolen catalytic converter. In between 12:00 am on 09-23-2019 and 1:30 pm on 09-24-2019, an unidentified suspect cut out the catalytic converter from a Toyota Prius.

Grand Theft - 1700 block of Ganges Ave:
A 2:00 pm, an officer responded to the report of a stolen catalytic converter. In between noon on 09/24/2019 and 1:00 pm on 09-24-2019, an unidentified suspect cut out the catalytic converter from a Toyota Prius.

Theft and Battery - 2100 block of Harper St:
At 12:25 pm, an officer responded to the report of an interrupted package theft. The victim was able to recover her package, but the suspect spit on her.

Grand Theft 7600 block of Potrero Ave:
At 5:00 pm, an officer responded to the report of a catalytic converter theft. An unidentified suspect cut out the catalytic converter from a Prius sometime during the night.

September 25th, 2019:
Warrant Arrest – Moeser Ave. / San Pablo Ave:
At 3:42 pm, an officer spotted a 24-year-old Richmond woman who had a warrant for her arrest. The woman initially didn’t want to stop, but then submitted to arrest. She was booked and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

September 26th

Sexual Battery - Ohlone Greenway between Ohio Street and Conlon Avenue:
At 6:43 pm, while walking on the Ohlone Greenway, the victim was kicked by a suspect and knocked to the ground. The suspect started to touch the victim inappropriately, but was scared off by a passerby.

Sep. 27

Robbery – BART path near Blake Street:
Officers responded to a call where someone had their laptop computer stolen. The victim told the officers he was walking when an unknown suspect grabbed his laptop and fled.

Sep. 28

Criminal Threats / Brandishing – Fairmount Avenue at Liberty Street:
Officers responded to a call of someone threatening another person with a knife. When officers arrived, they located the victim and suspect still on scene. Officers learned the two men had been involved in an argument, and one had physically assaulted the other. The suspect was arrested, booked at the ECPD, and then taken to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Driving Under the Influence – Richmond Street at Schmidt Lane:
An officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested the driver for operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested, booked at the ECPD, and then released to a sober friend.

Sep. 29

Stolen Vehicle – 10600 block of San Pablo Avenue:
Officers were dispatched to a call where a vehicle was stolen, driven a short distance, and then abandoned. The vehicle was processed for evidence and then released to the owner at the scene.
