                                         Possession of Marijuana Under 50 Grams
 
DATE & TIME OCCURRED:  9/19/19  at  4:14 PM
 
LOCATION OCCURRED:  U.S. Route 1 and Alexander Rd.

Arrested: Joel Ortiz, White male, 35 years old
                Resident of Plainsboro, NJ 08536

DETAILS:  While on an aggressive driver enforcement detail, Ptl. Zicha observed a gold Honda sedan that did not have a license plate affixed on the rear of the car. Ptl. Zicha stopped the vehicle and determined that the vehicle was unregistered. During the investigation, it was determined that Joel Ortiz was in possession of seven (7) Ecstasy tablets, a small container of marijuana (THC) wax, and a plastic bag containing raw marijuana. Ortiz was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at Mercer County Superior Court.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Zicha initiated a stop on a Chevrolet sedan for having an unclear license plate and for failure to use his directional signal. During the stop, Ahmeen Street was found to have a suspended license and a warrant for his arrest from Bass River, NJ. Street was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released after posting bail with a future court date at Bass River Municipal Court.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Mahon investigated the theft of a wallet from Walmart where the following was reported: The victim went to Walmart in the evening with her friend. They both went to the self-checkout to pay for their purchases. She finished her transaction and noticed that her friend who has special needs was having difficulty at the checkout. She placed her wallet into her cart, left it unattended, and then went to help her friend. It was not until she returned home that she realized her wallet, which also contained her iPhone, was missing.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Mahon was detailed to the Home Goods store for a shoplifter being detained by Loss Prevention. Investigation determined that Alexander Jefferson had selected premium pots and pans, bedding, and a kitchen appliance and put them into the shopping cart he was using. He then pushed the cart out of the store without making payment for the merchandise valued at $339.96. Jefferson was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at Mercer County Superior Court.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Pollini was detailed to a residence for a theft where the following was reported: While the victim was away from her home in the afternoon, someone stole her smoker grill which was on her front lawn. The grill was valued at $200.00.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Knox was detailed to a theft from a construction site where a PSE&G substation expansion project was being undertaken. Investigation determined that sometime over the weekend, a MultiQuip Inc. MQ Power diesel generator (Valued at approximately $15,000) was stolen from the unsecured work site.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Hoffman and Ptl. S. Van Ness were detailed to a burglary to a vehicle that was in the driveway of a residence on Cranbury Rd. Investigation determined that during the overnight hours of 10/01/19, the victim’s unlocked vehicle was entered, and items that were in her purse, which was left on top of the center console, were stolen.

DETAILS:  Ptl. LaForge investigated a burglary and theft to a vehicle where the following occurred: Someone entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle which was parked in the driveway of her apartment during the overnight hours. From inside, cash and a credit card were stolen. The stolen credit card was first used on 9/30/19 at 4:52 am in South Brunswick, NJ and was last used on the same date in Staten Island, NY.
