Full Notification

Earlier today the Malverne Police Department was called to assist the Hempstead Police and Nassau County Police in the search for a suspect that had been involved in a shooting incident at the intersection of Franklin ave and Blakeman Drive in North Valley Stream. Alert resident notified the Malverne Police of sightings of the wanted suspect and after a brief foot pursuit by Malverne Officers the subject was apprehended by Malverne and Nassau County Police Officers and transported to a local hospital for treatment. All perpetrators have been apprehended and there is no danger to the public. There may still be a heavy Police presence in the Village due to the ongoing investigation as well as helicopters from the news media.
