Pacific Gas & Electric has confirmed a Public Safety Power Shutoff for the City of Lakeport starting around midnight tonight.
As of this afternoon, PG&E has confirmed a Public Safety Power Shutoff will happen sometime around midnight tonight. This will impact the entire City of Lakeport.
City facilities, police station and city hall, will be open and operational. The Police Department will have increased staffing on during the nighttime hours to patrol our neighborhoods and business districts.
Public Works will also have nighttime staffing to monitor water and sewer infrastructure which we anticipate will remain fully operational.
The Community Resource Center for Lake County is located at the Clearlake Senior Center at 3245 Bowers Ave in Clearlake, Ca. It will be open tomorrow from 8 AM to 6 PM.
PG&E expects to start turning power back on Friday morning, but it could take up to five days for some people to have power again.
