The traffic crash has caused a utility pole to be knocked down with wires across state Route 71 also known as Monmouth Road. Until the pole and wires can be removed Monmouth Road is closed between Parker Road and Wall Street in the Borough of West Long Branch. Please follow the detours, drive safely and watch for children & school buses.
The utility companies and the New Jersey Department of Transportation have been notified and are on scene or en route.
