Santa Maria Police Explorers earn award at Riverside Competition 
October 4-6, 2019, Santa Maria Police Explorers participated in the 5th Annual Riverside Police Explorer Competition in Riverside CA.
Santa Maria Police Explorers Yerlin Heredia, Narellah Carrasco, Raul Chavez and Randy Gonzalez participated in several law enforcement scenarios and physical fitness events.
The explorer competition included 25 team from various Law Enforcement agencies from Northern California and Southern California. The Santa Maria Police Explorers earned 4th place in the Crime Scene Investigation.
The Santa Maria Police Council sponsors the Santa Maria Police Explorer Program and generously provided financial support for the explorers to attend this event.
