Detectives recover additional firearms stolen during burglary of a Highland home

INCIDENT: Burglary

LOCATION: Victoria Ave. / 9th St., Highland

SUSPECT: Stanford Jackson 40 years old, resident of Fontana

Detectives from the Highland Police Department developed additional leads reference a location of additional firearms taken in the burglary.

On October 2, 2019, a search warrant was served in the 1700 block of 'G' Street in Ontario. Detectives located and recovered additional firearms taken from the victim's residence.

SUMMARY: On September 18, 2019, deputies responded to the 7900 block of Chaparral in the city of Highland regarding a residential burglary that occurred. The suspect entered the victim's residence and stole several items including firearms. Detectives from the Highland Police Department followed leads and identified a white Chevy Suburban possibly involved in the burglary.

On September 20, 2019, a detective from the Highland Police Department located the white Chevy Suburban on Victoria Ave. and 9th St. in the city of Highland. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Stanford Jackson, a 40-year-old resident of Fontana. Jackson is currently on felony probation. During the investigation, property belonging to the victim was located inside Jackson's vehicle.

A search warrant was served at Jackson's residence in the 7400 block of Harvard Court in Fontana. Detectives located more of the victim's stolen property, including some of the stolen firearms, and other stolen items from different thefts. Jackson was booked at Central Detention Center for burglary and a probation violation.
