#PomonaPD 4-Day Multi-Agency Gang Suppression Operation Yields 18 Arrests

Narrative:
The Pomona Police Department conducted a four-day (9/25-9/28) multi-agency gang suppression operation. The operation focused on suppressing criminal street gangs within the City of Pomona. Criminal street gangs are known to participate in violent and nuisance crimes that include: murder, attempted murder, assaults, shootings, weapons violations, narcotic sales, narcotics transportations, and distribution, pimping, prostitution, and many other crimes. These crimes cause a significant danger to the public and a decrease in the quality of life for our residents and surrounding communities.
The four-day operation was conducted with the assistance of the Los Angeles County District Attorney Team, Los Angeles County Probation, and the Upland Police Department. The operation utilized undercover and unmarked cars to locate and contact gang members in Pomona. The operation yielded a total of 18 felony arrests and 3 firearms were recovered.
The Pomona Police Department takes has a zero-tolerance approach when dealing with criminal street gangs, and the violence, fear, and intimidation they attempt to enact on our residents.
