Over this past weekend, there has been a dialysis patient of the Kendallville outpatient dialysis unit who has been diagnosed with a Neisseria meningitidis infection.
Because this type of bacteria can cause a potentially life-threatening illness, if you have had more than casual contact with a Kendallville dialysis patient during the past week, you should contact the dialysis unit and/or your healthcare provider and/or your occupational healthcare provider for advice (and preventative treatment if indicated).
