SELF SERVE SAND BAGGING STATION OPERATIONAL –

A sandbag station has been set up and is available for Grundy County Residents. The station is located in the North Parking Lot of the Old Highway Garage, 310 DuPont Road (Corner of DuPont & Lynn Road) in Morris. This sand bag station is a self-serve station. It will operate today from 9am until 8pm.

•CAUTION: Sandbags are heavy; filling and carrying and placing sandbags can be dangerous and takes a considerable physical effort.

•CAUTION; Filled sand bags are heavy; transporting filled sandbags without equipment designed to carry such loads may be dangerous.

•This sandbag program is funded by Grundy County and partner government entities. Users agree to hold the entities and their agents harmless when using this service.

•Sandbags are for small water flow protection of two feet or less.

1. The site will be self -serve.

2. Local representatives will be on-site to assist in completing forms, supervising distribution of sandbags and maintaining order.

3. Local government will provide sand, sandbags and shovels to fill bags. However, the on-site government representatives will not be available to fill or load sandbags.

4. Local representatives will be available to provide guidance about filling sandbags, placement and removal.


5. There is a maximum limit of twenty-five sandbags per household.
