The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a

* Flood Advisory for Minor Flooding in Poor Drainage Areas for... Livingston County in central Illinois... Southern La Salle County in north central Illinois... Southwestern Grundy County in northeastern Illinois...

* Until 400 PM CDT.

* At 106 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This heavy rainfall may cause minor flooding of poor drainage areas in the advisory area.

* Some locations that may experience flooding include... Streator, Pontiac, Dwight, Chenoa, Gridley, Flanagan, Wenona, Odell, Grand Ridge, Cullom, Lostant, Cornell, Saunemin, Ransom, Rutland, Kangley, Long Point, Campus, Dana and Leonore.

* AFFECTED AREAS: LA SALLE, IL ... LIVINGSTON, IL ... GRUNDY, IL

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
