September 16th

Warrant Arrest – San Pablo Ave and Schmidt Lane:
At 6:30 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver, a 21-year-old male from Oakland, for an outstanding warrant. The male was booked then released with a citation.

Stolen license plate – 11700 block of San Pablo Avenue:
At 8:50 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect removed the front license plate from the victim’s vehicle.

September 17th

Traffic Pursuit, Stolen Vehicle, Stolen Firearm Possession:
At approx. 8:37 am, an officer responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle in the 2000 block of Junction Ave. Upon the officer’s arrival, the vehicle fled, and a short vehicle pursuit ensued. The suspect vehicle caused a collision, and the driver fled from the car, which was reported as stolen. A loaded firearm which was stolen was left behind.

Grand Theft – 5300 block of Potrero Ave:
At 5:44 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect removed the catalytic converter from a vehicle.

Embezzlement – 11200 block of San Pablo Ave:
At 6:18 pm, an officer reports a former employee of the business took a large quantity of Lotto Scratchers. The owner was left to pay $29,000 in dues to the state lotto board.

Auto Burglary – 11800 block of San Pablo Ave:
At 8:03 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect shattered a window to the victim’s vehicle and removed a backpack containing personal items and electronics.

September 18th

Grand Theft 6605 Barrett Ave.:
At approx. 12:30 am, an officer responded to the report of a theft. In between 4:00 pm on 09/11/19 and 8:00am today, an unidentified suspect cut out the catalytic converter from a 2006 Toyota Prius.


Grand Theft – 5700 block of Alta Punta:
At 8:32 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect removed the catalytic converter from a vehicle.

Robbery – 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 10:57 pm, an officer reports five suspects entered the business and filled a shopping cart up with diapers. The suspects attempted to leave without paying, but a security guard tried to stop them. The security guard was assaulted but able to retrieve the items. The suspects fled in a vehicle.

September 19th

Auto Burglary 2600 Tamalpais Dr:
Sometime during the night, an unidentified suspect pried open the bed-mounted toolbox on a 2005 Ram truck and stole a Honda 1000 watt portable generator valued at $1000.

Warrant Arrest – 11800 block of San Pablo Ave:
At 5:56 pm, officers responded to an unwanted person at a business and located the subject, a 50-year-old male from Richmond. A records check revealed the male had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The male was taken into custody and transported to the county jail.

Shoplifting and Warrant Arrest – 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 8:22 am, an officer accepted the citizen’s arrest of a 39-year-old male from Richmond, after the male entered the business, concealed items and attempted to leave without paying. The male was stopped by security and detained. A records check revealed the male was on probation and had an outstanding warrant out for his arrest. The male was taken into custody, booked, and transported to the county jail.

Possession of Burglary Tools and paraphernalia – Cutting Blvd and Key Blvd:
At 2:32 am, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 24-year-old male from El Cerrito. The male had a shaved key used to steal cars, and drug paraphernalia. The male was taken into custody, booked, and released with a citation.

Sep. 20

Vandalism – 10600 block of San Pablo Avenue:
An officer noticed the front window of a business was shattered. It was determined that a suspect had shot out the window with a BB gun. The large window was valued at approximately $1000.00.

Recovered stolen vehicle – 600 block of Liberty Street:
An officer was dispatched to the scene of a vehicle collision where the driver of the vehicle ran off. When the officer arrived, he found that the car was reported stolen. The vehicle was recovered and returned to its owner.

Sep. 21

Brandishing – Bart Path at Stockton Avenue:
Officers were called to the area for a report that a man had threatened another man with a knife. An officer located the suspect a few blocks away and took him into custody The suspect was arrested, booked at the ECPD, and then sent to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Warrant – San Pablo Avenue at Cutting Blvd.
An officer noticed a parked vehicle which had not been registered in two years. The officer contacted the person in the vehicle, and he found out they had two outstanding warrants for their arrest. The subject was arrested, booked at the ECPD, and then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Driving Under the Influence – 500 block of Liberty Street:
Officers went to a call of a vehicle collision where a vehicle hit a parked car. When officers arrived, they spoke to the driver and suspected she was under the influence of alcohol. After the officer’s investigation, the driver was placed under arrest. She was booked at the ECPD and then released to a sober friend.
