Francisco woman arrested on animal cruelty charge.

On September 25, 2019, at 12:54 p.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a 911 report that two kittens had been thrown out of a Gray 2013 Dodge Dart. The caller who was behind the vehicle was traveling westbound and was able to give Gibson County Communications Officers a vehicle description as well as the license plate registration numbers. At that point a Be On the Look Out was placed for the vehicle. Deputy Jennifer Loesch located one of the kittens which was deceased on State Road 64 west of Francisco, Indiana.

While Deputy Loesch was out with the kitten Detective Mike Hurt of the Princeton Police Department located the suspect vehicle as it pulled into Walmart. At that point Deputy Loesch began went to Walmart and spoke with 21-year-old Jenica Brickey the driver of the Gray Dodge Dart. Once Deputy Loesch spoke with Ms. Brickey Deputy U.B. Smith transported Ms. Brickey to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving to the Gibson County Jail Ms Brickey was charged with a Level 6 Felony charge of Cruelty to Animals. She remains in custody on a $750 bond.
