Please be advised of the following community events happening around town this weekend. These events may cause temporary road closures and/or traffic delays in the area. Please plan your travel route accordingly.

Lindenhurst Village Annual Oktoberfest
Fri. 10/4– 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Sat. 10/5– 12 noon to 9:00 pm
Road Closures: West Hoffman Ave., North of the Long Island Railroad, from School Street to No. Wellwood Ave. and the School Street parking lot for carnival rides.
Sun. 10/6– 12 noon to 5:00 pm
Road Closures: West Hoffman Ave., North of the Long Island Railroad, from School Street to No. Wellwood Ave. and the School Street parking lot for carnival rides.

Road Closures: Wellwood Ave. from Gates Ave. north to John St., Hoffman Ave. (south side) from High St. to South First St., Hoffman Ave, (north side) Waldbaums to School St., for a street fair. The Beer Garden will be in the Village Gazebo Park.

Road Closure: Grove Place will be closed from the entrance to the Municipal Lot just east of the American Legion Building to the entrance to the Babylon High School parking lot on  the west side of the building for an American Legion Dedication Ceremony.

North Lindenhurst Fire Department small parade from the North Lindenhurst Pool (Straight Path)to the North Lindenhurst Fire House at 1630 Straight Path, with a block party celebration.

12:30 am – 1:30 am - Wyandanch Memorial High School Homecoming Parade will begin at the intersection at S. 18th St. & Long Island Ave. proceeding to Straight Path to Jamaica Ave., to the High School at S. 32nd St.

North Babylon
11:00 am- North Babylon High School Homecoming Parade and Football Game. Parade begins at the corner of Beebe Ct. and Garnet St., proceeding east on Garnet to Deer Park Ave. south to Phelps Lane west to the No. Babylon High School parking lot.

10 am – 4 pm
Deer Park Community Association Inc. will be holding their annual Fall Festival at Geiger Memorial Park, 94 Grand Blvd.

Tanger Outlet Annual 5K Run/Walk from main entrance north to Marcus Blvd, crossing Commack Rd. to Grand Blvd, to E. 3^rd, turnaround proceed east to Grand Blvd. back to the main entrance.
