The City of Amsterdam/Callanan Construction announces that milling and paving is scheduled to commence on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 and continuing through Friday, September 27. 2019 from 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. DAILY or until complete, weather permitting.
STREETS LOCATION
Locust Avenue Park Street to Elias Street
Brookside Avenue Prospect Street to Elias Street
Lyon Street Locust Avenue to Clizbe Avenue
Wallin Street Locust Avenue to Brookside Avenue
There will be no parking on the above listed streets beginning Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. THROUGH Friday, September 27, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. Residents of streets to be milled and paved will be given sufficient prior notice to remove parked vehicles from posted streets. All illegally parked vehicles on posted streets to be milled and paved will be towed at owner’s expense.
There will be temporary off-street parking posted at the city owned property on Brookside Avenue across from Hempton Street.
Motorists should use extra caution when traveling on streets under construction, take alternate routes if possible and should EXPECT delays due to alternating traffic.
