Community

The city of Petaluma wants to hear from you!!! We are seeking the community's input on our parking regulations.

The City of Petaluma has fielded numerous requests from community members to make changes to our current parking regulations and ordinances, specifically related to the current 72 hour parking regulation and the absence of any additional parking restrictions on recreational vehicles and trailers.

Some of the requests have asked to make current regulations more restrictive while others have requested regulations be less restrictive. The current parking ordinance states that vehicles will be considered abandoned and are subject to enforcement if left in the same location for more than 72 consecutive hours. To comply with the ordinance a vehicle must be moved at least ½ mile every 72 hours if not sooner.

We are reaching out to the entire community seeking feedback to help us evaluate if any modifications to our current parking ordinance should be proposed to the City Council. The following is a survey we hope will serve as the first step in engaging our community members to get feedback from you, who we serve.
