RED FLAG FIRE WARNING
A Red Flag Fire Warning is in effect for many areas of Northern California, including the East Bay Hills and area around Lamorinda, from 9:00 pm tonight through Wednesday at 5:00 a.m. This warning may be extended, depending upon weather conditions.
A Red Flag Fire Warning is declared when, if a fire sparks, conditions are just right for that blaze to burn fast and quick. This week, humidity is forecast to be very low, even at night; temperatures in the 90's; and gusty north/northeast winds up to 40 MPH. All of this contributes to the extreme fire danger.
During the Red Flag Warning, please stop activities that cause sparks; do not have any outdoor fires, such as campfires, open BBQs and burning; ensure that cigarette butts are properly and completely extinguished; and report any suspicious activity.
