Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose requests the public’s help in identifying the below pictured male suspect in an armed robbery that occurred on Tuesday, August 27, 2019.

Shortly after 9:25 p.m., a male approached a pharmaceutical employee who was delivering medications to 65 Jay Street. The suspect demanded the victim’s medications at gunpoint and fled, carrying a large blue bag of various medicines.

While police are actively searching for this suspect, we seek the public’s assistance in quickly identifying him as part of this investigation.

Director Ambrose is urging anyone with information about this suspect to call the Department's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477) or 1-877-NWK-GUNS (1-877-695-4867). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
