Due to tonight's car show, Main Street will be closed between Reid Street and Jackson Street from approximately 4:30pm until approximately 9:30pm. Traffic travelling over the Veteran’s Memorial Bridge into South River from Sayreville will be detoured onto Reid Street. Traffic travelling the opposite direction on Main Street will be detoured at Jackson Street. In addition, parking restrictions will be in place leading up to the event. Please follow any posted no parking signs.

Tonight, September 19th, the South River Police Department and PBA Local 62 will be co-sponsoring “Cops n’ Cruisers”, a car show on Main Street in downtown South River. Join us from 5:00pm - 9:00pm for music, food, fun and plenty of vehicles on display all while supporting a good cause. The event is free to the public with food available for purchase. All downtown businesses will be open during the show. Please note - bicycles, scooters or skateboards are not permitted to be utilized at the show.

Interested in showing off your vehicle? All makes, models, years and styles are welcome. There is a registration fee of $10 per vehicle which can be paid when arriving the night of the show. There is no need to pre-register. Trophies will be awarded to the best vehicles!

Proceeds from this event help fund community policing programs and events in South River including Law Enforcement Against Drugs, National Night Out, Too Good for Drugs, Junior & Citizen Police Academies, Bicycle Rodeo & Public Safety Day, Free-throw Tournament and MORE!
