On September 5, 2019, Kern County Sheriff’s Office Rural Crime Investigation Unit detectives responded to the 30000 block of San Diego Street in Shafter. Detectives located a stolen John Deere Gator in the area. Detectives developed probable cause that 38-year-old Daniel Holder from Buttonwillow stole the John Deere Gator while wearing a Kern County Probation Department ankle monitor.
On September 11, 2019, Rural Crime Investigation detectives served a search warrant in the 1600 Block of Buttonwillow Drive. Detectives discovered a stolen tractor on the property. On September 15, 2019, Holder was located and arrested for two counts of VC 10851(a)- taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, two counts of PC 496D(a)- possession of a stolen vehicle, and PC 666.5(a)- possession of a stolen vehicle with priors.
